Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
iTypeThai.com is a Thai language typing training platform operated by an individual based in Hong Kong SAR. We are not a registered company. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@itypethai.com.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to run the service:

| Password | Stored as a secure hash by Supabase Auth — we never see your plain-text password |
| Learning progress | Which characters, words, and phrases you have mastered, stored in our database and your browser's local storage |
| Payment information | Handled entirely by Stripe. We only store your user ID and which plan you purchased — no card numbers, no bank details |
| Flag / report submissions | Content you flag as incorrect, so we can review and fix it |
We do not collect your name, phone number, date of birth, or location unless you voluntarily provide it. We do not run advertising and do not collect behavioural tracking data.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account
- To save and sync your learning progress across devices
- To activate the features you have paid for
- To respond to support requests and flag submissions
- To send transactional emails (e.g. email verification, password reset) — no marketing emails without your consent
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or any advertising trackers.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored on Supabase servers (hosted on AWS). Learning progress is also stored in your browser's local storage for offline access. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all connections. Row-level security (RLS) is enabled on our database, meaning each user can only access their own data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@itypethai.com and we will permanently delete it within 14 days.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and all data
- Portability — request your learning progress data in a readable format

8. Children
iTypeThai.com is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent before creating an account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, please contact us and we will delete the account immediately.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
We do not use advertising cookies. We use browser local storage to save your learning progress locally and session storage to track temporary session state. Supabase Auth uses a secure cookie to maintain your login session. No third-party tracking cookies are set.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
